DONEGAL STUDENTS WIN TOP PRIZES IN TEXACO ART COMPETITION

The picture was taken at a function to announce the top winners held in the Dublin City Hugh Lane Gallery.Three Donegal students have won top prizes in this year’s 60th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.In the 16-18 years age category, second prize of €1,000 was won by 16-year-old Cáitríona McClay, a pupil at Loreto Community School, Milford for her work entitled ‘Pulp Fiction’.Other Donegal winners, both of whom will receive Special Merit Awards are, Róise McGagh (15), from Magh Éne College, Bundoran for her work entitled ‘Oliver’ and Julia Chechelnitskaya (18), from Loreto Convent, Letterkenny, for her work ‘An Evening on the Lake’.
