Participants in a previous Heart Walk on the Ocean City Boardwalk.The American Heart Association’s annual Southern New Jersey Spring Heart Walk takes place Saturday, May 16 at the Sports and Civic Center, 6th Street off the Boardwalk. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m. The Heart Walk is a family event through which participants celebrate their heart health, or recommit to taking better care of themselves. Each walker is asked to raise money through pledges to fund the research, education and advocacy efforts of the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.
