The system is licensed on a per vessel basis.MOL Nordic Tankers transports various types of specialized liquid products in bulk for chemical producers and oil companies. Formerly known as Nordic Tankers, the company was officially acquired by MOL Chemical Tankers in January 2019.

The shooting – the 38th mass killing by firearms in the US this year – occurred on Saturday in the West Texas cities of Midland and Odessa. TORONTO – For those who like to upend holiday traditions, this trend is for you: the upside down Christmas tree. This season, social media is rife with photos of inverted pines and firs that are adorning hotel lobbies, shopping centres and downtown atriums with gravity-defying drama. It’s a surefire showstopper for retailers eager to attract shoppers, but the over-the-top stunt is now making its way into some living rooms, with several retailers offering up kits for the home decorator willing to try something different. But these trendy inverted trees aren’t cheap. Most cost more than $200, although prices range from $60.99 for a modest three-foot model to $1,299.99 for a 7.5-foot pre-lit version.Calgary salon owner Dave Richards says he’s thinking about a purchase for next year, noting he already put up his Christmas tree several weeks ago, before he saw the latest trend.“I’m in the market for one at the end of this Christmas season if they go on sale — if any are left,” says Richards, who is known as DevaDave to his clients and friends.“In terms of space … it allows for more movement at the lower base of it. It’s definitely a conversation piece more than anything else and I think most people when they’re purchasing something like that it’s because they are hoping to make the corner of their home a little bit more interesting for guests and all that.“Is it weird? Hell yes. Very much so.”Richards suspects such a tree would be a good fit for his downtown hair salon, where he is a stylist and wig retailer who caters to cancer patients and people in the transgender community. But at home, he says he’s very much a traditionalist, with this year’s decor of balls, bells and angels driven by a white-and-silver theme. He also doubted his four-year-old son would approve of a non-traditional tree.“There are things that kids like (and) he wants his tree just ‘so.’ He’s fussy,” says Richards, admitting he’d otherwise consider a flashier display since he sometimes welcomes clients to his home and often entertains friends and family.A nine-foot Christmas tree hangs upside down in the hotel lobby of the Fairmont Vancouver Airport and it certainly seems to be a hit with guests and passersby, says marketing specialist Kate Francois. It’s the second year in a row they’ve flipped their centrepiece, which is festooned with mini passports, planes, suitcases and hand-painted blue and gold globes.“We’ve had a ton of interest, actually. We’ve had a few people come in just specifically for that, they weren’t even staying at the hotel but they wanted to come and photograph it,” says Francois. It’s certainly not for everyone, says interior designer Jane Lockhart, who set up an upside down tree for a commercial retail display a couple of years ago. But she adds that the trees do seem to be part of a broader trend of more radical home design, possibly fuelled by social media. After a year of disturbing headlines that at times felt like the world was warping into an alternate universe, an upside down tree might be just what some people need, adds Richards.“It’s a finger up at the establishment of making (Christmas) so commercial,” he says. But then again, many people find comfort in familiar rituals when times are tough, he muses.“There are probably hipsters who think it’s a great idea and it’s fun and funky,” he says. “But the tradition of going to the lot and buying a traditional tree …. people still want that.”
BRUSSELS – The European Union has proposed banning plastic products like cotton buds, straws, stirs and balloon sticks when alternatives are easily available in an attempt to reduce litter spoiling beaches and ocean beds. The European Commission said its proposal would seek to cut marine litter in half for the ten most prominent items and avoid environmental damage estimated at over $250 billion over the next dozen years.EU Vice-President Frans Timmermans said that utensils would not be banned completely, but steps would be taken to have them made out of sustainable materials when possible.“You can still organize a pick-nick, drink a cocktail and clean your ears just like before,” Timmermans said.He also made new proposals to ensure that it is the polluter that pays. The proposal will be assessed by the EU parliament and member states but Timmermans hopes to see results before May 2019.And unlike so many EU proposals that are immediately criticized by consumer and environmental groups as too little too late, the reaction was largely positive on Monday.“The only way to stop plastics pouring into our oceans is to turn off the flow at its source: production,” said Lasse Gustavsson, the European executive director of the environmental group Oceana, as he lauded the initiative.European Green Party lawmaker Monica Frassoni also welcomed the initiative and added that “the scale of the problem means that we cannot rely on individual European countries to take action and must instead find a Europe-wide response.”The European Parliament has said that plastics production is now 20 times higher than in 1960s. The EU has also been spurred into action by China’s decision to no longer import part of the bloc’s waste.

Imphal: Contending that the BJP does not pay heed to its ideas and suggestions, the NPF, a partner in the saffron party-led alliance in the state, has convened a meeting of its leaders on Saturday to decide if it would continue to stay in the coalition or withdraw support. Denying the allegation, the BJP said it has extended all possible cooperation to its partners to ensure smooth functioning of the government. The NPF has four MLAs in the 60-member Assembly. Even if the party pulls out, it wouldn’t impact the BJP-led coalition, which currently has 29 legislators in the House. Also Read – 2019 most peaceful festive season for J&K: Jitendra Singh Eight of the 28 Congress MLAs, who had won the 2017 polls, defected to the BJP last year, taking its tally from 21 to 29 in the Assembly. The other parties in the ruling coalition are NPP (4), LJP (1), Independent (1) and AITC (1). Talking to PTI, Awangbou Newmai, the state unit chief of the Naga People’s Front (NPF), claimed that the BJP “looks down” on its alliance partners. “The BJP has never respected the spirit of alliance since the formation of government in 2017. There have been instances when their leaders have refused to consider our members as alliance partners,” he said, without elaborating. Also Read – Personal life needs to be respected: Cong on reports of Rahul’s visit abroad Newmai also said that the saffron party did not live up to the promises it made to its coalition partners. “The NPF has always considered the BJP as its big brother, but that did not stop the saffron party from bluffing to us. We haven’t got our due respect,” he claimed. Rebutting Newmai’s assertions, Ch Bijoy, the spokesperson of the BJP, said the NPF had maintained that it did not want any ministerial berth while joining the alliance, but now, it seems, the party has several demands. Of the four NPF MLAs in the Assembly, Loshii Dikho, who won from the Mao Assembly seat, is a cabinet minister. “The allegations made by the NPF are totally baseless and unfounded. All possible cooperation has been extended to our coalition partners for smooth functioning of the government,” he added.
The Big Ten Championship meet is vital to the men’s and women’s cross country teams’ chances of making the National Championship meet. After placing 11th at the Pre-National meet, the women’s team is looking forward to a strong finish this Sunday at the Big Ten Championship meet.“I think if we’re top five, we’ve got a good chance to get in [to the National Championships],” women’s coach Chris Neal said. The Buckeyes have not fared well at the Big Ten Championships the past six years. Their highest finish was eighth in 2003.The women’s team is led by senior Katie Williams and juniors Jordan Jennewine, Sarah Foster and Ellen Birmingham. The Buckeyes can achieve a top five finish “if we’re able to pack four in tight with the kind of four-headed monster we got up front with Jordan [Jennewine], Foster, Katie Williams and Ellen Birmingham and get the low points we need,” Neal said. The women’s team is ranked No. 4 in its region — up from No. 6,its rank prior to the Pre-National meet.“I think [the Pre-Nationals] gave us the confidence going into Big Tens to beat teams like Michigan State and Michigan who maybe were ahead of us at the Pre-National meet,” Foster said. The men’s team is hoping to bounce back after its performance at Pre-Nationals, in which it finished 22nd out of 35 teams. One of the reasons for the finish was illness. Coach Robert Gary said one player did not travel with the team and several others were feeling flu-like symptoms.“I’m fully healthy again and so are our other guys who were feeling a little sick,” senior Jeff See said. “We’ve been having great workouts.”For the team to have any chance at making the National Championship meet, it needs a strong finish at the Big Ten Championships. If the Buckeyes can finish ahead of higher ranked teams at the meet, such as Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa, they could gain some points toward the National Championship meet.“We’re not trying to do all the math and figure out how many points we need and how well our team needs to do in order to qualify other than just being there on race day,” See said. The men’s team dropped to No. 8 in its region, down from No. 5, after the disastrous run at Pre-Nationals.The meets will be held Sunday at Penn State in State College, Pa.

10 years ago, then-Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson made a bold prediction on Cristiano Ronaldo’s fate at Real MadridThe legendary Scotsman brought an 18-year-old Ronaldo over to Old Trafford in the summer of 2003 from Sporting Lisbon for a transfer fee of £12.24m – which at the time was a world record fee for a teenager. And, under Ferguson’s guidance, Ronaldo emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in European football. In May 2008, a 23-year-old Ronaldo won his first of five Champions League titles after United defeated Chelsea on penalties at Moscow. He also finished as the competitions top scorer with eight goals. This caught the attention of Real Madrid, who had gone seven years without a European title since Zinedine Zidane’s stunning match-winner against Bayer Leverkusen in 2001.In what was likely an attempt to prevent his star asset from leaving United, Ferguson made a prediction over how a move to Los Blancos would turn out for Ronaldo.“If you were asked for advice for your son you would give him the best advice, and the worst thing Ronaldo could do, at the age of 23, is to go to Real Madrid,” said Ferguson in 2008, according to the Daily Mirror.Zidane reveals Sergio Ramos injury concern for Real Madrid Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Zinedine Zidane has put Sergio Ramos’ availability for Real Madrid’s trip to Sevilla next weekend in doubt after withdrawing him against Levante.“He is already at the right club – a fantastic football club – and the future is that he has signed a five-year contract and has four years left. That’s definite because I have seen his signature.“In the modern day young lads can be twisted by the talk of money, but if you saw Ronaldo after the Champions League final he was the happiest boy in the world.“When you have young players you want the best for them and you want to do the best for them, and I genuinely believe I know what the best club in the world is for him and that is Manchester United.“There shouldn’t be any need to go to Real Madrid.”It’s safe to say that the legendary coach was wrong on this one.Ronaldo scored 450 goals in 438 games for Real and claimed four Champions League titles and Ballon d’Or crowns. Now regarded by some as the greatest footballer of all time, Ronaldo sealed a €112m move to Juventus this summer.
