Veterans Memorial Arena will soon have a new name

first_img(WBNG) — The Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena will soon have a new name after Maine’s Paper and Food’s contract expired in June. Visions will pay Broome County $60,000 per year, and that could increase to $120,000 if the county renovates the arena. Visions will also create a “reserve account dedicated to increasing the number of live events at the arena and Forum Theater”. The Broome County Legislature voted 13 to 1 in favor of giving naming rights to Visions Federal Credit Union. The resolution will allow the name change to take place in 2021, running through 2030. last_img
